Jay Gandhi (Zeneth Copelan), an aspiring high-end fashion, commercial and editorial photographer, has just recently moved to the foodie capital of Melbourne to pursue his dreams and to be surrounded by creative, like-minded people.
He hails from the sunny city of the Gold Coast, where he has just freshly completed his Diploma in Photo Imaging through Billy Blue College of Design. Here, Jay excelled immensely in Fashion and Fine Art photography. Additionally, he also has a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, majoring in Film, from Griffith University.
Since he was young, Jay has always had an interest in both photography and film and knew one day that he wanted to pursue both as a career.
He has two favourite cameras - an Olympus ME Super that belonged to his mother, and a Canon EOS 5 that was given to him by one of his close friends.
Jay has lots of experience in assisting photographers both in studio and on location, complete understanding of Canon DSLR cameras and lenses, tripods, lighting equipment’s and other various tools. Furthermore, through his retail job and assisting other photographers, he also has knowledge in styling sets, fashion models and mannequins.
Jay’s dream job is to one-day shoot for Nike, photographing the latest footwear trends and athletes. He also hopes to shoot images for high-end clothing brands, top 100 companies and have his images in well-known editorial magazines.
In his personal time, Jay likes to keep fit, listen to music, go to photography exhibitions and art museums, and most importantly, loves eating anything and everything; Jay is a big foodie lover.
Jay has a current valid drivers license, as well as a passport, is physically fit, creative and a fantastic communicator – both written and verbal. He is also a very hard worker, who is looking for a mentor to teach him everything there is to know about the photographic industry.
